Water damage & burst pipe repair in New Jersey

Document the loss, remove what was damaged and rebuild it properly.

Water damage gets worse the longer materials stay wet. Once the source is stopped, the job is to document the damage, remove what cannot be saved and rebuild.

Signs of water damage

  • Ceiling or wall stains, bubbling or peeling paint
  • Warped, buckled or soft flooring
  • A musty smell or visible mold
  • Unexplained humidity, condensation or rising water bills
  • Wet insulation or drywall after a pipe, appliance or roof failure

What we do

  1. Stop the source. Shut off water at the main and have the pipe or appliance repaired by a licensed plumber.
  2. Document. Dated photos and moisture readings of every affected area.
  3. Remove and dry. Take out materials that cannot be saved and dry the structure.
  4. Rebuild. Drywall, insulation, flooring, trim and paint, with a written scope.
Leak vs flood. Sudden discharge from a burst pipe or appliance is treated differently from flood (rising water), which standard homeowners policies generally exclude. Confirm with your insurer.
DATA NEEDED before publish: exact scope (drying equipment in-house or partner), certifications held, 2 real projects, plumbing/electrical subcontracting arrangements.

Questions homeowners ask

Do you work with my insurance company?

We give you a written inspection report, dated photos and an itemized estimate that you can share with your insurer. We do not negotiate claims; that is the role of a licensed public adjuster or an attorney.

Will my homeowners policy pay for this?

It depends on the cause and on your policy. Sudden and accidental discharge is commonly covered, while long-term seepage and flood often are not. Read your policy or ask your agent, and keep your photos and estimates.

Do you handle the drying too?

We tell you up front what we do ourselves and where we bring in a specialist. [Owner to confirm scope: in-house drying equipment or partner.]

Can mold develop?

Persistent moisture can lead to mold within a couple of days, which is why wet materials should be dealt with promptly. See our mold page.
