Mold remediation in New Jersey
Fix the moisture, remove the mold, repair what it damaged.
Mold needs moisture. Cleaning mold without fixing the water problem means it comes back, so the job starts with finding and stopping the source.
Signs you may have mold
- Visible growth on walls, ceilings, trim or in the attic
- A persistent musty smell
- A past leak, flood or pipe failure that never fully dried
- Condensation, high humidity or peeling paint in damp areas
- Stains that return after cleaning
What we do
- Find the moisture source. Roof, plumbing, ventilation or grading, whatever is feeding the growth.
- Assess the extent. Photograph and map affected areas. For larger problems we recommend an independent assessor.
- Contain and remove. Containment and removal of affected materials using appropriate protection.
- Repair and verify dry. Rebuild with new materials and confirm moisture levels before closing up.
Questions homeowners ask
Do you work with my insurance company?
We give you a written inspection report, dated photos and an itemized estimate that you can share with your insurer. We do not negotiate claims; that is the role of a licensed public adjuster or an attorney.
Will my homeowners policy pay for this?
It depends on the cause and on your policy. Mold coverage is often limited or excluded unless it results from a covered water loss. Read your policy or ask your agent, and keep your photos and estimates.
Do you test for mold?
Testing and assessment may need to be done by an independent, qualified assessor. We explain what is appropriate for your situation. [Owner to confirm, and counsel to confirm any NJ licensing rules.]
Will it come back?
Not if the moisture source is fixed and the area is dried and repaired properly. That is why we start there.
